Board. It is based on the discussions in the OpenMP ARB conference
calls of the previous month, and on current activities in the
world of OpenMP.

** WOMPEI 2003 in Tokyo was successful

** SPEC HPG accepts now submissions based on the new release of SPEC
OMP2001

* There will be an OpenMP Birds-of-a-Feathers Session at SC2003

There will be an OpenMP BOF at the SC2003 conference. SC2003 will be
in Phoenix, Arizona, US this year from 15 to 21 November. The BOF is
planned on 18 November from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm. There will be a user
presentation, and several presentations on the ARB in general,
Futures, OpenMP 2.5, and Tools. See the web site:

* WOMPEI 2003 in Tokyo was successful.

This workshop took place on 20-22 October 2003 in Tokyo as part of the
International Symposium on High-Performance Computing V. ISHPC V had
more than 100 registrations, and there were some 30 at WOMPEI. 7
papers for WOMPEI had been accepted, and there were 2 invited talks.

The proceedings of ISHPC-V have been published as volume 2858 of
Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) of Springer-Verlag. 

* SPEC HPG accepts now submissions based on the new release of SPEC
OMP2001.

SPEC HPG voted to accept submsissions based on the new OMP2001 release
v 3.0. This new release contains the alternative sources, and combines
the OMPM and OMPL suites on one CD. There will be an announcement at
SC2003. New SPEC OMP2001 and HPC2002 results are continually being
published. Both benchmark suites contain OpenMP code, and test OpenMP
